Migrate from generic S3

Use the migration wizard: source S3 — endpoint, bucket, access key, secret. The engine scans the bucket, then imports objects as files (key prefix becomes the folder), and gives you the standard finish screen with a URL map (old_url, new_url, file_id).

Read-only access to the source bucket is all the importer needs; nothing is written back or deleted at the source.
