Custom domain verification
Before Spawnbase serves files on your domain, you prove you control it.
Without that step, anyone could claim cdn.yourserver.com on their team
and serve files under your name — or claim a domain you use elsewhere.
How it works (see also Custom domains):
- Add the domain in Dashboard → Settings → Custom domain.
- We give you a DNS record to create (a CNAME to our target). Creating it is the proof — only whoever controls the domain’s DNS can.
- Status stays pending until the check passes. Meanwhile your files
keep serving on
cdn.spawnbase.gg; nothing breaks. - Once verified, new upload responses use your domain in
url.originalUrlalways stays on the default domain.
Housekeeping:
- One domain per team. Removing it in settings reverts
urlto the default domain. - If you delete the DNS record later, the domain stops resolving to us — re-adding it means verifying again.
- Never point a domain you care about at a service before you’ve added it in that service’s dashboard — the pending-verification window is exactly what this flow exists to avoid.
